Welcome to Year 2
During the Spring term we cover lots of exciting topics and events.
In English, we will be reading 'The Crow's Tale' and writing our own newspaper reports based on the narrative. We continue learning spelling patterns, grammar and try to uplevel our vocabulary in our writing.

Reading is very important and it would be greatly appreciated if you could please support your child at home to read regularly. Please ask questions about the text to help build their comprehension skills.
In Maths, we are using our reasoning skills to help us solve more complex calculations and word problems. Please help us in practising your addition, subtraction and multiplication skills regularly.

In Science, our topic is 'Animals including Humans'. We learn about growth, life cycles and survival. We compare the different animal categories looking for similarities and differences.
